What trussing did you use: Prolyte

What were your Challenges:
We had to made use of perlons in the roof, which are not ideal and have limited load bearing.
What were your Highlights:
We ran the dmx wireless from another stand and this worked very well. This meant I only had one desk running all my stands! (Alfa, Fiat and GM)
PAN TILT
FIAT
Technical Supplier: Pan Tilt Client: Set Squared
Spec: The brief was eight lights per car.
What gear did you provide:
42 x parcans
Prolyte Truss
Did you hire in any of the gear and from which company? MGG provided Prolyte and parcans
What trussing did you use: Prolyte
How many pieces of trussing did you use: 75m of Prolyte HX30
What were your Challenges:
Major challenge was the balcony at the back of the hall. It had not been included in the drawing. As a result, the lighting was rigged forward to the stand, which had to move forward by 4m. The parcans were now in the wrong place, but they were used to light up the office on the stand and lit signs.
What were your Highlights:
There were no problems.
MATRIX , PAN TILT & Fog Tech Video
GM Technical Supplier: Matrix (Main Contractor); Pan Tilt (Lighting Supplier and Designer).
Stand Design: Michael Gill
Producer: Megan Wilson Client: 360 degrees for GM Spec: The clients wanted to go “green”. The brief was to have a clean look and they did not want to see the lighting fixtures, roof or any rigging. With this in mind, clients wanted four lights per car. I was concerned that the LED Light4ce 18 would not have enough punch, but they did well! The stand also included video mapping. What gear did you provide:
8 x Philips Vari-Lite VLX (for the centre revolve)
24 x Robin 600 E Wash (to create effects and fill up the holes)
24 x CitySkape 48 (to light the back wall)
72 x Light4CE 18 (four per car) “Lite Force 18 “
6 x Philips Selecon 1.8m batton
1 x Avolites Tiger Touch
16 x White Scrims
Prolyte Trussing (HV30 & 40 with additional ground support.)
Did you hire in any of the gear and from which company? The gear was supplied in working order as per spec by MGG Productions who did a fantastic job. They came in on budget which allowed as many LEDs on the stand as possible. Showtex provided the scrims.
What trussing did you use: Prolyte How many pieces of trussing did you use: 430m of trussing What were your Challenges:
The robotics was brought in as an added drawing card. This was a technical challenge, working with hydraulics, gas, power, the sheer weight of the machinery which was all this glassed in. It’s something you don’t always get to see. The real challenge was the schedule that was worked out to the minute.
What were your Highlights:
The highlight was having 134 LED fixtures and only using a total load of 54 Amps (The general operation used only 27Amps) In general a stand of that size would draw 500 Amps if using generic lights. There was no failure of any equipment of any kind for ten days running.
