A two day practical Basic Rigging Course, presented by Robert Izzett, will be held on 21 and 22 April at DWR Johannesburg.
The course covers the rigging laws in South Africa, rigging hardware and Robert will practically look at shackles, steel wire ropes, trussing, endless rounds, motors and chains to mention a few. “The main emphasis of the course is for technicians to familiarise themselves with the technicalities of hardware,” said Robert Izzett of DWR. “Not every shackle is a shackle and not knowing the difference can have serious consequences. There is a misconception that there are no laws governing our industry in South Africa. Our goal is to make everyone aware of what they should be doing correctly.”
The cost is R1,400 and includes a light lunch and refreshments. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
Bookings will be confirmed once payment has been received. Regrettably, no refunds though you are welcome to send someone else in your place.
