Prolyte Arc Roof is a dream come true for AVS Hire

AVS Hire setting up their new Prolyte Arc Roof

AVS Hire is the first technical support company in Mbombela, formerly known as Nelspruit, to invest in a Prolyte Arc Roof staging system supplied by DWR Distribution. DWR’s Robert Izzett presented practical training to set up the 8m x 6m arc roof, which will be used on two gigs taking place in September.

Kyle Nel, owner of AVS Hire, can testify that all good things come to those who wait! “I’ve wanted an arc roof for the longest time, going back to at least 2015, he shares. “It’s the right size, not too big or labour intensive and can be set up with a relatively small crew. It really is a good looking roof.”

Mbombela is described as the gateway to the Kruger National Park and the beautiful city is surrounded by waterfalls, caves and breathtaking views. “There are many outdoor events and festivals and we are delighted to have a structure that offers safety, and the ability to hang fixtures in the roof is significant,” Kyle says. “The investment made sense because of the mountain of Prolyte stock we already own. Robert Izzett from DWR came down especially to assist us in building it correctly for the first time, checking our cross braces and showing us the ropes. He always goes the extra mile for us and we appreciate that immensely. Rob was the first at DWR to take on chance on me when I bought my first two Robe Pointes in 2013 and we have walked a long road together.”

The Prolyte Arc Roof is designed for small to mid-sized outdoor events and can be erected in just a few hours. The stage combines Prolyte Arc truss sections and a H30V leg system that can be combined with a Layher Event Deck base and ballast which is on the cards for the near future. The roof is finished with a keder rail system for attaching the roof cover.

“We are thrilled as this is something that Kyle’s been looking at for many years which is why he decided to take the plunge,” comments Robert Izzett. “It’s excellent for the Mbombela area because it’s a roof certified by the manufacturer to handle wind force 10, which adheres to the SANS 10366 Health and Safety at Events Requirements in South Africa and is of critical importance.  It’s wonderful that there’s one more user who has invested in a structure that will be built by the book. Kyle Nel is an amazing human being who does things right and a professional who delivers incredible work. Thank you for your support.”
