I am a trained and experienced theatre technician, I went to university at UKZN Pietermaritzburg where I was trained and educated as a theatre technician and stage manager under Marcus Henning and Peter Mitchell. While at UKZN I worked as a part time technician for the Hexagon Theatre.
After leaving UKZN I went to work at the Hilton College Theatre as the resident (and only) theatre technician and AV Support technician for the school. I worked on most of the productions by myself, maintaining the theatre, rigging for shows and running lights, sound and even AV all solo for productions, conferences and concerts.
I worked as a technician and unofficial venue manager at Glennie Hall for the 2018 National Arts Festival in Makhanda.
Recently I have helped open the new Barnyard Theatre at Suncoast Casino, operating the follow spot training an in-house staff member to replace me as such.
