Prolyte Basic Rigging Campus Cape Town

It brings DWR Distribution pleasure to invite you to attend The Prolyte Basic Rigging Campus presented by Rigging Commando, Eric Laanstra, and our very own, Robert Izzett. The course will be held in Johannesburg on 9 and 10 October and in Cape Town on 12 and 13 October from 9 am to 4 pm.

Based on his broad technical experience and practical skills acquired while working on the rental side of the entertainment business, Eric Laanstra joined Prolyte (which now forms part of the Area Four Industries team) in 2000 to support the Customer Service department and knows all the tricks and details on nearly every product Prolyte supplies! Later promoted to Product Manager at Prolyte Structures, his responsibility focuses on Prolyte’s extensive trussing and staging range. He values close contact with end-users and enjoys sharing knowledge and a few jokes! Eric’s course will cover Truss Basics, Truss Inspections and Truss on Chain Hoists. The course aims to simplify how to safely use Prolyte products.

DWR’s Robert Izzett is passionate about safety and hopes to educate delegates in regard to the rigging laws applied in South Africa, according to SANS 10366. Robert will provide practical insight from calculations to the correct use of rigging hardware, shackles, steel wire ropes, trussing, endless rounds and chains.
