Cape Town grandMA3 training

For those living in Cape Town, please join Jaques Pretorius from DWR Distribution as he presents an intensive two day introductory grandMA3 introductory workshop, which includes the granMA3 new software release v1.7, from 27 – 28 June from  9 am to 4 pm. The workshop will be held at the Cape Audio College in Observatory, Cape Town.

Founded on the legacy of the previous grandMA consoles, the grandMA3 represents a radical re-think of what’s possible from a lighting control platform. The new grandMA3 system architecture incorporates new fixture, feature and effects-handling at its very heart. The system features ground-breaking concepts from top industry visionaries, presented within a refined user interface, and is designed to make practical tasks more intuitive.

With a focus on grandMA’s new software release v1.7, the following topics will be discussed:

• New Show and Set up
• First Patch
• First View Set up
• Control Simple Fixtures
• 3D Fixture Set up
• Groups, Appearances and Scribbles
• Macros
• Store Cues and Use Executors
• Add Moving Lights
• Presets
• Phasers
• Sequence with Multiple Cues
• Network and How to Output DMX

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the following protocols will be adhered to:

• Delegates to please report to reception where you will be directed to the venue.
• Screening and logging of each participant
• Masks must be worn during the course
• Parking off campus in surrounding area

The cost per delegate is R400 (nonrefundable). You are welcome to bring your own lunch or purchase snacks from the onsite kiosk.
