Barco Event Master Level 1A Certified Operator Training

You are welcome to join a Certified Barco Event Master 1A workshop presented by Dylan Jones on 4 and 5 February 2025 from 9am to 4pm at DWR Distribution in Johannesburg. Passing the grade is required to earn certification.

Students will engage in classroom theory and hands-on activities in order to enhance their understanding of the product line and will gain the required skills to successfully set up and operate the system for events.

This official Barco training is open to anyone who will have to operate and understand the system in order to set it up AV systems for events.

Topics covered include:

• Event Master Family hardware overview
• AV terminology
• Basic setup and operation
• Event Master Toolset for Single and Multi-Screen applications including Blended Projection Screens
• Programming exercises
• Practical and Written Exams (passing grade required to earn certification)

Participants must provide their own laptop computer with the following minimum specifications:

• Intel Core i5 or greater with at least 4GB of System RAM
• Built-in Display with native resolution 1920×1080 or higher
• Windows 7, Windows 10, or Mac w/OS X (High Sierra or greater).
• Built-in RJ-45 Ethernet port (USB to RJ-45 Dongle must be supplied by attendee if not built-in).1
• A full-sized wired or wireless mouse is suggested.

The cost is R500 per person and includes a light lunch and refreshments. Please note that refunds are not available for courses. If your course registration is cancelled, at least 72 hours in advance, you’ll receive a credit for the paid fees, usable for re-registration or rescheduling within one year from the initial course cancellation date. Not showing up without notice does not qualify for the rescheduling credit.

The training will be held at DWR Distribution, Block C, Unit 1, Kimbult Industrial Park, 9 Zeiss Road, Laserpark, Honeydew.
