After visiting worship spaces around the world, it was a great pleasure for DWR Distribution to host the L-Acoustics House of Worship Tour in South Africa, with events held in Johannesburg and Cape Town in November 2025. The tour received an outstanding response from the local church and audio community, highlighting the growing interest in immersive sound solutions for worship environments.
Presented by L-Acoustics’ global House of Worship specialists, Joshua Maichele (Applications, Americas – House of Worship Global Lead) and Alan Johnson (Business Development, Americas – House of Worship Global Lead), the workshops captivated attendees with demonstrations of L-ISA immersive audio technology and its creative possibilities. Delegates were left amazed by the clarity, impact, and emotional connection that immersive sound can bring to worship services.
The Johannesburg event, kindly hosted by The Barn Church, welcomed over 100 attendees, while more than 60 delegates attended the Cape Town session at CRC Cape Town.
Throughout the sessions, Joshua Maichele and Alan Johnson guided attendees through best practices in system design and demonstrated how immersive audio can enhance worship experiences while remaining practical and scalable for churches of all sizes.
Richard Smith, Brand Manager for L-Acoustics and Head of Audio at DWR Distribution, described the tour as a significant milestone. “The tour was very important to us. We were thankful to host the L-Acoustics House of Worship Tour in South Africa after it has visited many other regions around the world, including Australia and the United States.”
Jaco Beukes from DWR Distribution shared his enthusiasm for the experience. “Hearing anything in L-ISA is always a pleasure. It’s almost impossible to explain until you experience it for yourself. Having so many people hear it for the first time created many ‘aha’ moments, and it was incredible to share that with so many of our church friends.”
Pete Owen, Sales Manager for Africa and India at L-Acoustics, also praised the success of the tour. “The event was awesome. It’s been brilliant to meet people, connect with them, and gain a deeper understanding of the local market. The response has been extremely encouraging.”
