DWR Distribution appointed South African HARVEY® agents
DSPECIALISTS, a Berlin-based company established in 2003 specialising in digital audio and measurement systems, has appointed DWR Distribution as their South African HARVEY® distributor partner.
HARVEY is a freely programmable audio DSP that offers numerous control interfaces. HARVEY® was developed by DSPECIALISTS for fixed installations in theatres, churches, hotels and conference rooms.
DWR’s Duncan Riley was first introduced to Jochen Cronemeyer and the team from DSPECIALISTS at Prolight and Sound in 2022. It soon became apparent that HARVEY® would fill a gap in DWR’s existing product range.
“DWR’s first opportunity to utilize the HARVEY® system and give it a practical field test was for a venue / restaurant installation, where it performed with flying colours,” smiles Jaco Beukes, DWR’s brand manager for HARVEY®. “We were able to pre-program the system virtually and then upload the show file when we arrived on site. We made a couple of small changes to accommodate the client’s needs as is expected, and the system has run flawlessly ever since.”
Due to the high audio quality and the extensive, constantly growing software library for audio signal processing, HARVEY® is also ideally suited for use in studios. Analogue inputs and outputs as well as AES and Dante are available as audio interfaces. HARVEY® also offers the customer numerous control options. In addition to TCP/IP, RS485 and RS232, GPIOs can also be freely programmed. This allows HARVEY® to call up the optimal setup for every conceivable scenario and to communicate with other devices.
