AirGuard Antibacterial Vaporiser

South African based DWR Distribution is pleased to distribute the AirGuard AG-800 Antibacterial Vaporiser, developed as a specialised fogging/mist treatment for infection control and sanitation of both residential and commercial settings.

Lightweight, portable and convenient, the highly functional disinfector is more effective than wiping down surfaces, which can contribute to cross-contamination. The fogging disinfectant does not need to be wiped off after treatment like traditional toxic disinfectants, as it breaks down safely.

The AG-800 can spread a mist to fill the entire space in 3D direction. Operating with FLV-05 sanitation solution, it provides a thin layer on object surfaces in the room to inhibit bacteria growth. This, in turn, disinfects surface areas, touch-points, and equipment, which means it is highly effective for antiviral infection control in halls, homes, businesses, and sensitive spaces such as hospitals and healthcare locations, retail showrooms, waiting rooms, rest homes, trains and carriages and reception areas etc.

The AG-800 can produce one cubic meter of smoke in about 3 seconds, or 3000 cu ft in under a minute. You can cover a normal 240 cubic meter classroom in about 10 to 12 minutes, or if disinfecting a car, turn the air conditioner to recycle and use for 30 seconds at a time.

After the mist is sprayed, allow 5 to 10 minutes for the smoke to circulate and cover the space in order to disinfect.

How long does the effect last?

This depends on the environmental conditions, such as ventilation and number of human movements. For example, disinfection in a car for personal use can be effective for two weeks, however, a car used frequently for business should be disinfected each day. In general, the more occupied a location is, the more frequently it should be disinfected. A typical office can be treated once a week during times of concern or during outbreaks, and every 2-4 weeks at other times as a precautionary measure.

In general, the more occupied a location is, the more frequently it should be disinfected.

Allowing the fog to rest is important to enable the fog to have enough time to cover the surface of objects and form a protective shield. Fog is very light so it will take some time for it to drift in the air before falling on the objects. The minimum recommended time is 10 minutes; however a longer period will see better coverage.

The AG-800 treatment will promote peace of mind to those returning to work during the COVID-19 outbreak. The AG-800 treatment kills most fungi, germs, viruses, dust mites and will get rid of odours effectively.

About FLV-05 Antibacterial Solution

The antiviral agent in the disinfectant liquid is Thymol and is listed on the US Environment Protection Agency (EPA) website as meeting their criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. It is also tested and proven effective against the influenza virus and general pneumonia.

  • Taiwan CDC approved antibacterial ingredient-IPMP.
  • Effectiveness has been proven by Super Lab (GLP&TAF accredited).
  • Inhibits the growth of 7 common harmful bacteria: S.aureus, E.coli, P.aeruginosa, Candida albicans, A.brasiliensis, S.pneumonia and L.pneumophila.
  • Paired with the Air Guard vaporiser, spreads antibacterial fog everywhere even deep into corners.
  • The antibacterial fog forms a protective layer on objects prolonging the antibacterial effect. -Non-toxic and non-irritating formula.
  • Contains silver ion to enhance the antibacterial effect.
  • Pine tree scent helps neutralise bad odours.
  • The FLV-05 disinfectant works by denaturing the virus’ proteins, which makes it incapable of binding to human cells.

Vaporisers are obviously not recommended for use in rooms when people are present! Wash hands frequently, stay away from other people, disinfect surfaces and wipe high-touch areas frequently with alcohol or bleach, but use the Vaporiser for those hard to get to places you know you don’t get wiped properly. Reassure staff and visitors that every effort is being made to keep workspaces hygienic.
