Technicians get practical at DWR’s Robe Fixture Maintenance Training

It was all hands on deck at DWR Distribution’s Johannesburg office, where Tyler Pugin recently presented Robe Fixture Maintenance Training – delegates came as far as Bloemfontein and Namibia. The course attracted such interest that a second day will be hosted at the end of May for students from the Tshwane University of Technology, with workshops also planned for Durban and Cape Town.

The course allowed technicians to roll up their sleeves, open up Robe units, and enjoy practical training on everything from fault-finding and firmware updates to cleaning, service, and calibration techniques.

“It was great to see technicians bringing their tools and discovering the inner workings of the fixtures,” said Tyler. “It’s not just learning, but building confidence, which means they are better equipped to maintain these units.”

Participants also learned essential skills such as subassembly replacement, using a multi-meter for standard checks, fault-finding and accessing Robe’s technical resources online.

Additional Robe Fixture Training sessions are planned for Durban on 28 May and then in Cape Town on 11 June. For more information, contact Amanda at amanda@dwrdistribution.co.za or 011 7904 5023.
