Robert Juliat is delighted to showcase the recent installation of 28 Robert Juliat Bizet 671SX 500W LED Variable White 11/26° profile spots at South Korea’s Eumseong Culture and Art Center in Chungcheongbuk-do. As a cherished cultural hub for the people of Eumseong, the 600-seat theatre hosts plays, operas, ballets and musicals, where its intimate stage-to-seat layout allows audiences to enjoy a vivid, immersive live performance experience.
The installation was carried out by Robert Juliat’s exclusive distributor for South Korea, C&C Lightway, Inc as part of the venue’s modernisation which saw the venue’s entire lighting inventory transition from conventional tungsten to state-of-the-art LED sourced fixtures. C&C Lightway’s Sales Director Hyung-jun Choi introduced and specified the Bizet fixtures which marked the first investment in Robert Juliat fixtures for Eumseong Culture and Art Center.
“We were looking for fixtures with high output, adjustable white colour temperature, high CRI for natural skin tone rendering, and precise shutter framing,” says Hyunjin Yoon, Lighting Manager at Eumseong Culture and Art Center. “The Bizet 671SX VW is ideal because its Variable White source allows us to seamlessly match lighting tones for various performances from warm theatrical scenes to crisp, daylight-balanced classical stage-without sacrificing output.”
The new Bizet profiles, which have seen great success worldwide, are installed permanently as the core of the hall’s main front of house lighting rig. “The most essential features are Bizet’s high output combined with its shuttering capabilities,” confirms Hyunjin Yoon. “These allow seamless adaptation from warm theatrical scenes to crisp classical stages without losing intensity or colour fidelity.”
Since the installation, these new fixtures have been successfully deployed across a wide range of productions including theatrical plays, classical orchestral concerts, traditional Korean music, and local cultural festivals. “We have received some outstanding feedback with lighting designers reporting how its powerful brightness made designing and cueing so much easier,” continues Hyunjin Yoon. “The impressive light output provides designers with complete creative freedom. Even when adjusting the VW spectrum to match different stage atmospheres, the fixture maintains brilliant intensity without losing colour quality making it effortless to highlight performers and establish vivid scenes.

Compared to traditional lamp-based fixtures, the long-life LED source completely eliminates frequent lamp replacements, colour filter burn-outs and recalibration hassles.
