The Neutrik Group is pleased to announce the new REAN Air-tight series including Ethernet, XLR (available now) and Power Chassis (in Q4).
When plugged in or closed with rubber caps, the receptacles are AIRTIGHT and thus offer protection class IP65 out of the box.
Why airtightness matters
In industries such as lighting technology, modern testing procedures require products to be tested quickly and easily for approval of protection classes such as IP65. For those tests, positive or negative air pressure is used. If no air can ingress, steam, water or dust cannot get into the housing or damage the electronics either.

Compatibility
The air-tightness Ethernet and XLR chassis are fully mating compatible with existing REAN IP65 Ethernet and XLR connector (Z Serie) to achieve IP65 level protection.
