Renowned for imparting his practical rigging experience and theoretical expertise to participants worldwide, Ruud de Deugd, the founder of T & E Support, is excited to return to South Africa for the International Rigging Training Course. The course is scheduled from 12 to 17 February 2024 from 9 am to 4 pm at DWR Distribution in Johannesburg.

The intense five-day training course, which is followed by a practical assessment on the sixth day, will cover crucial topics such as safety protocols, maintenance practices, lifting materials, force calculations and load tables. Interested delegates must be competent in Mathematics.

With two decades of experience, Ruud has consistently set high standards for ensuring safety in event and theatre productions. A qualified mechanical engineer, he previously worked at Prolyte before establishing his own company, T & E Support, in 2009. The company specializes in comprehensive safety solutions for large-scale events, ranging from structural calculations to inspections, providing rigging advice, temporary demountable construction advice, and project support. Ruud also conducts rigging training globally.

Today, T&E Support stands as a world-class service provider and is a member of the relevant division of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN/TC 152 WG3), actively contributing to industry standards for event structures in the EU.
