When reliability and operational safety are essential in live productions, the KLOTZ EDX6HMF 6-channel HDX power distribution box comes into its own. Designed for use on stage and in temporary installations, it combines robust construction with safe handling and practical connectivity.
The EDX6HMF features two Harting HAN 16ES connectors in male and female configurations. The multipin connectors are side-mounted and feature lockable metal coupling housings that prevent accidental disconnection, ensuring secure connections even under demanding operating conditions. This arrangement allows cables to be routed close to the floor, for example when used with the matching KLOTZ EMC6HMFT Energy Multicore. As a result, the centre of gravity remains low, ensuring that the box stays stable and securely positioned on the floor during live performances.

The top of the housing features six outlets for distributing power to connected equipment, available with either Type F (Schuko) or Type E (French-Belgian standard) sockets. Integrated hinged covers protect the sockets against dust and splashing water to IP54 when not in use. With a current rating of up to 16 A at 250 V, the EDX6HMF is also suitable for connecting high-power equipment.
The new power distribution box is also designed to meet the mechanical demands of professional live applications. Its 1.5 mm aluminium housing combines low weight with high durability, while a matt black powder coating provides additional protection against external influences. An integrated M10 thread allows secure mounting to a rig, while a pre-punched eyelet provides an attachment point for a safety cable. Non-slip rubber feet ensure stable positioning on stage.

Made in Germany: Every EDX6HMF is manufactured at the KLOTZ AIS production facility in Vilchband/Wittighausen and undergoes comprehensive quality control at the company’s in-house end-of-line (EOL) test station before delivery. Tests include checks for open circuits, reversed polarity and short circuits, as well as protective conductor and insulation resistance in accordance with DIN VDE 0701 and VDE 0702. Once all tests have been completed, the power distribution box is ready for delivery to the customer and reliable use in live productions worldwide.
