While Hatfield Church in Waterkloof, Pretoria is a dynamic house of worship, attracting families both young and old from all walks of life, it was established as far back as 1903 and has remained relevant for over a century. The church invested in a Sharp NEC PA 804UL Laser Projector in December 2020, and then a further two PX10O4UL-Laser Projector in 2022, all supplied and installed by DWR Distribution.
Hatfield Church is a light in the darkness. Besides running the Hatfield Orphanage, various community outreach projects, and Sunday services, the ministry team also host various teaching sessions to equip people with challenges in their daily lives from marriage courses to parenting skills, dealing with the loss of a loved one, to embracing the youth. Many of the teachings are complimented with technology such as the use of modern-day projectors. Projection is a creative tool to communicate with an audience, enabling the presenter to share images, videos, or notes on a large screen.
Rob Prinsen, Technical Manager at Hatfield Church, originally needed a solution for one of the overflow rooms, a 100-seater venue similar in size to a school hall and used for events like conferences, training workshops, and youth meetings. He called on the services of DWR Distribution to supply and install an NEC PA 804UL Laser Projector, that delivers vivid colours and contrast while running silently and no lamp replacement for up to 20,000 hours.

In 2022, the church had to upgrade their existing projectors in the main auditorium and this time opted for two PX10O4UL. The PX1004UL has the tagline, install and forget! First-grade high-end blue laser diode light source, combined with a unique quality Phosphor wheel technology and no filter replacement required, results in up to 20,000 hours of hassle-free operation. These features, bundled with low overall power consumption, provide exceptional reliability and an attractive total cost of ownership addressing long-lasting installations.
