T SERVIS, one of Czechia’s major technical production companies, has enjoyed a busy 2026 so far, which has included an action-packed summer of music festivals, where their newly purchased Robe GigaPointe multifunctional beam moving lights were a huge hit at popular events like Rock for People, Colours of Ostrava, Masters of Rock and many others.

The company’s head of lighting, Ivo Černohorský, explained that their 50 GigaPointes were replacing older beam fixtures – from another manufacturer – in the inventory, an investment that has been welcomed by everyone from T SERVIS’ own crew to all the lighting designers, directors, programmers and operators with whom they work.

Adam Lenomar, Robe’s area sales manager for Czechia and Slovakia, commented, “We were hugely excited when T-SERVIS was the first company in the country to invest in our GigaPointe technology, showing their leading position in the technical production universe, and also allowing all the LDs to see the fixtures in action for themselves at numerous live events, together with all the hosting LDs who were able to work GigaPointes into their designs.”

T SERVIS started purchasing Robe products around 10 years ago. The first luminaires from Robe were BMFL WashBeams and the investment has continued since then. Ivo is also a lighting designer in his own right and has used Robe for many of his projects.

Since those first BMFLs, the rental fleet has grown to over 400 Robe moving lights, including iFORTES, ESPRITES, LEDBeam 150s, Spiiders, MegaPointes, RoboSpot systems, and now the super bright laser light sourced and IP65 rated GigaPointes.

Ivo pointed out that it’s very convenient being in the same country as the manufacturer – it makes communication very easy, but apart from that he appreciates the ‘Made in Europe’ status and stated, “Robe is designing and building some excellent products and product ranges for many applications.”

T SERVIS wanted GigaPointes for multiple reasons. “Obviously, the intensity and all the features are great for creating effects,” says Ivo. “They are an excellent choice for festivals, and the IP rating is important for all outdoor work.”
He underscores the fact that beamy lighting looks are currently trending on music and talent genre TV shows like Česko Slovensko má talent (Czechia-Slovakia’s Got Talent), so GigaPointe is a fixture that is also ideal for all their television and broadcast work.
The comments from all the various LDs they are working with across all sectors have been highly positive, and naturally, being one of the first companies in the country to have GigaPointes available in rental stock also created a buzz. “It’s always great to be among the first with new tech when it comes to the market.”

While it’s convenient for logistics that Robe is a Czech company, Ivo notes that – irrespective of any patriotism – “It is that they quite simply make some of the best lights on the market right now, which are consistently reliable and good quality, and you can see that a lot of thought and good engineering goes into them.”
T SERVIS’ work embraces concerts and touring, festivals, corporates, conferences and broadcast, working all over Czechia and regularly in other European countries, including Germany and Austria. They are often working with international artists and productions, providing lighting, audio, LED screens, and staging.

Ivo’s father Ota started T SERVIS in 1993, so Ivo was effectively born into the industry. Trained as a classical musician, his own passion for and interest in technical production started when he was very young. He joined the company full-time in 2002 following his love of sound and lighting and worked his way up to become head of lighting. He is also lighting designer for internationally renowned violinist Vanessa-Mae, among others.
Led by CEO Jana Heřmánková and based on the outskirts of Prague, T SERVIS is known for its commitment to production values and offering the highest standards of excellence, its creative approach, and fantastic engineers and crews.
