The Faculty of Arts and Design, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) held its first Career Expo on the Arts Campus on Wednesday, 13 August. The event connected senior students with potential exhibitors to showcase career pathways in the creative and technical industries.

DWR Distribution was pleased to be part of the activity and to welcome over 200 students to their stand, hosted by Motlotlo “Mac” Makhobotloane, a former student at TUT, Dylan Jones, Werner Nieman, and Sherryn Riley. On display was a grandMA3 and DiGiCo console, and footage showing products and projects by DWR to spark conversations about how the live events industry offers roles for technical, creative, and design-focused students alike.

“This was such a special day with incredible energy,” said Dylan Jones of DWR. “It’s inspiring to see so many young people excited about their future in this industry.”

The Career Expo highlighted DWR’s close relationship with TUT, built through training sessions, and strong partnerships with lecturers such as Wandile Mgcodo, Felicia Seretlo and in former years, Hardus Koekemoer.
Thank you to Tsabuki Makou and Wandile Mgcodo for the opportunity of being part of this event.
