DiGiCo ups the game with the new Quantum 3 38

DiGiCo has announced the release of the much-anticipated new Quantum 338 at the Summer NAMM Show, being held at the Anaheim Convention Centre in California between 16 and 19 January.

Kyle Robson, DiGiCo product manager at DWR Distribution, the official distributor of DiGiCo technology in South Africa, says: “I think that the Quantum 338 is going  to be a great console for the South African market – especially because of its attractive price point and wide range of features and functionality.”

The DiGiCo Quantum 3 38 is a 128-channel mixing console with 38 physical faders and 3 x 17” LCD high-resolution touchscreens. Building on the Quantum 7, the Quantum 338 offers all of the Quantum features plus new design features and enhancements in a smaller format console.

“Looking at the specifications of the console, I expect to see it pop up on a number of riders as the year goes on, and I am very excited to see how the South African market responds to DiGiCo’s latest offering,” says Kyle. The other product that has been launched at the show is the DMI KLANG Card. “It is incredible what DiGiCo has managed to achieve with this card, and I think that it is going to be a very good product to introduce to the market.”

Kyle expects to have the first DiGiCo Quantum 3 38 consoles in the country by the close of the first quarter of the year. To find out more about DiGiCo’s latest products, kindly email Kyle at [email protected].
