CCPP Group is known for delivering more than just technical services. While technical excellence is non-negotiable, what truly sets the company apart is its ability to connect with clients, understand the heartbeat of a project, step into the client’s vision, and then deliver the technical expertise that brings it to life.

Based in Cape Town and operating across neighbouring countries, including Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia, CCPP Group believes success comes down to two things: the right team and the right gear. Much of this equipment is also available for rental, particularly as Cape Town continues to thrive as a popular destination for local and international film productions.
With this in mind, founder Clint Cawood made a strategic investment at the end of last year, purchasing a grandMA3 compact XT from DWR Distribution. The new console complements their existing MA Lighting range, which includes grandMA2 ultralight, grandMA2 light and a dot 2 that just doesn’t give up!
“Investing in the MA3 is about more than just adding new equipment. It reflects our commitment to growing with the industry and supporting the people who make it happen,” said Clint Cawood. “We chose this console because it helps close the gap between production budgets and the powerful lighting capabilities available today. In practical terms, it allows us to bring more creative possibilities and higher production value to the shows we work on. As a team, we are always looking for ways to improve how we work and what we deliver.” He adds that the investment is another step in raising the standard.

“The CCPP Group team are friendly and switched on,” said Patrick Manicom of DWR Distribution Cape Town. “The new console is a great fit for their business, expanding what they do from live shows to rentals for film shoots. They are keeping up with the technology of choice, especially in industries where MA3 is often specified.”
CCPP Group’s event portfolio is as diverse as sporting events like the Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer to corporate showcases like the Standard Bank Corporate Centurion Challenge. Their work spans major conferences such as the SACO Creative & Sports Economy Futures Conference at DHL Stadium, as well as more intimate gatherings like the Standard Bank Women’s Wealth Brunch. Beyond events, CCPP supplies equipment to the live events industry and, increasingly, to the film sector, where technical riders and reliability are critical.

The grandMA3 compact XT is the larger of the two compact grandMA3 models, offering the full power of the grandMA3 system in a lightweight, portable format. Easy to transport, it is ideal for owner-operators and a popular choice for tech-desk duties. The console features two large multi-touch monitors, five dual encoders, and a command area closely aligned with the larger grandMA3 consoles.

“We’ve walked a long and exciting road with CCPP Group,” said Johnny Scholz of DWR Distribution. “They are a hardworking team who consistently deliver exceptional service, backed by a strong commitment to investing in the right technology that also makes business sense. Thank you Clint for your support.”
