Simon Luckhurst is the Editor of Pro AVL MEA and we have to give him an enormous thanks for all the media coverage the magazine affords to the South African industry. Simon will be attending Mediatech Africa 2019.

What did you want to be when you grew up when you were a little kid?

Like a lot of our industry I wanted to be musician when I was little. I pursued that dream all the way to music college before other interests with sounds pulled me in a different direction.

Which do you prefer: a good book or a good movie?

A good movie. That’s probably the wrong answer for an editor, but I can completely switch off while watching a movie in a way I can’t with books.

What is the one thing you never get bored of?

The world around us. I’ve got a naturally inquisitive mind, so I always just want to find out more about how and why things work the way they do, much to the annoyance of my parents growing up.
