Maarten Engels is the Managing Director at Visual Productions BV. He speaks of his adventure out at sea.
What event in your life would make a good movie?
I try to keep my life calm and boring, without too much Hollywood-grade drama. So it is tricky to answer this question. If I had to pick one, then I would go for my midnight solo sailing trip on the North Sea last year. I got more than I asked for during this night-time adventure. It had a bit of ’The Perfect Storm’ in terms of waves, a bit of ‘Cast Away’ because of the solitude and finally it had that kind of ‘Rocky Balboa’ victorious feeling when finally I reached the port the next morning. Luckily there is not yet a block-buster about hours-long sea-sickness, so that could be the niche for my movie 🙂
If Mars was livable, would you accept a one-way ticket there?
Mars is not really my place, not enough liquid H2Ofor me.
What’s the one food you could never bring yourself to eat?
Mustard; I’d rather go back to the North Sea than eat mustard.
