DWR Distribution announces that renowned rigging specialist Ruud de Deugd will present the International Rigging Training from 26 to 31 January 2026, daily 9am to 5pm, at DWR Distribution, Johannesburg.
As the founder of T & E Support, Ruud is celebrated globally for his expertise in rigging and safety standards. With over two decades of experience, he continues to uphold excellence in the event and theatre production industries. A qualified mechanical engineer and former Prolyte professional, Ruud established T & E Support in 2009 — a company that provides comprehensive safety solutions for large-scale events. These include structural calculations, inspections, rigging consultations, and guidance on temporary demountable structures.
T & E Support is also a proud member of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN/TC 152 WG3), where Ruud actively contributes to the development of international standards for event structures.
This six-day intensive course will cover key topics such as:
- Safety protocols
- Maintenance practices
- Lifting materials
- Force calculations
- Load tables
Participants should have a solid understanding of Mathematics.
Delegates are required to bring:
- 1 x red pen
- 1 x blue pen
- 1 x scientific calculator
The training cost is R10 500 per person and includes lunch. Please note that seating is limited. While refunds are not available for cancellations, registrations may be transferred to another delegate.
