Vilnius, Lithuania — Acclaimed Lithuanian hip-hop duo Lilas ir Innomine returned to the capital city Vilnius for a career-defining performance at the Vingis Park Amphitheater, with a striking visual design driven by Green Hippo Hippotizer Media Servers.

The group — comprised of Konstantinas Kiveris-Lilas and Rolandas Venckys-Innomine — took the stage for the first time in five years, supported by dynamic visuals from design and production studio Marfa Lights. The team created an immersive video experience while working closely with the lighting crew, programming both visuals and video content in-house.

“We wanted the video elements to complement the lighting design without being overpowering, keeping the visuals abstract and gritty,” said Pijus Norušis of Marfa Lights. “Hippotizer’s internal effects and generators were perfect for manipulating pre-made content and IMAG feeds, while also generating unique looks internally that matched our creative vision.”

To achieve the bold design, Marfa Lights specified a Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 Media Server as the main system, supported by two Hippotizer Karst+ MK2 units for backup. Together, they processed four SDI inputs and delivered visuals to a massive 9,216 x 3,200-pixel main screen and six 832 x 1,560 IMAG screens. The Hippotizers were supplied by Video Projektai.

“The Boreal+ MK2 proved rock-solid, even when running 32 layers across two mixes at those resolutions,” added Norušis. “Every part of the show — from the main screen visuals to the IMAGs — relied heavily on internal Hippotizer effects and Notch FX. The ability to manage everything on one platform with fast response times was invaluable.”

The Hippotizer systems were controlled via a grandMA3 console, allowing Norušis to integrate his lighting workflow seamlessly into video server programming.

“Because my background is lighting, the transition was smooth,” he explained. “Hippotizer’s user interface and console personality are extremely intuitive. Every feature I needed was easily accessible, and I barely had to touch the server itself aside from loading video files.”

The outdoor show featured creatively manipulated IMAG content, blending colorized and effect-driven overlays with live footage of the performers to maintain the concert’s mood and energy. Short video loops were extended into full-length song visuals through real-time playback speed adjustments and layered effects.

“The show was built on constant transitions in and out of effects, but the Boreal+ MK2’s playback performance made it seamless,” said Norušis. “Short clips became complete visuals simply by mixing them with the IMAG outputs via Hippotizer.”

Lilas ir Innomine were joined by supporting acts Petunija, SHWR, and hip-hop artists Ade and Micro One.
