A warm congratulations to the Joburg Theatre who have invested in a brand new dot2 console which will be used for the comedy evenings to be hosted in the Space.Com at Joburg Theatre. Joburg Theatre now has a grandMA2 full size and two dot2s!
Space.Comedy is a fresh monthly stand-up comedy show taking place at Space.Com at Joburg Theatre. The show runs on the last Friday of every month. The venue, Space.Com, is also used for the training and development of young artists and theatre technicians.

“We already have a grandMA2 in the Mandela Theatre and a dot2 in the Lesedi, formerly known as The Fringe,” said Enos Ramoroko, Technical Manager. “When we opted for a new lighting board for the Space.Com, it was a practical decision to choose another dot2 as the technicians were familiar with the system and would not need additional training. The technicians find the console user-friendly and it really is ideal for the small theatre.”
Comedy is one of the fastest growing entertainment industries in South Africa and the Space.Comedy is intended to be a progressive platform for creating work opportunities and growing the culture of live entertainment. This platform will be used for the development of young talent in the comedy business.
