Top Gear VIP Marquee
When the Top Gear Festival was hosted to thousands of fans at the Moses Mabhida Station and People’s Park in Durban, KwaZulu Natal, rental company Selbys were delighted to provide the lighting, sound and av for the VIP Marquee tent which included a dinner and luncheon for celebrities and corporate clients. Selbys also provided the technical for the Top Gear Festival After-Party, hosted at the Beverly Hills for the Top Gear team and all those who worked on the successful event.
The festival was hosted in June, and Bruce Dorrofield from Selbys received his 8 Robin 600 LED Wash fixtures just in time to use them on the gig. “The Robins were awesome,” commented Bruce. “I loved them and obviously the green side too.” A lot more fixtures could be run from the same power source and even though the units ran the entire day, they remained cool and there was no need to fret about lamp life.
The main Top Gear presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, along with popular radio and television personality Sasha Martinengo (who was the MC), attended the dinners and luncheons in the VIP marquee, and the audience comprised of some 850 people.
Top Gear After Party At the Top Gear After Party at Beverly Hills, Selbys utilized their Robins and the event was enjoyed by all. “It was a highlight being able to work with an international client,” commented Bruce. “Thank you for the opportunity.”
