The South African Entertainment industry was very sad to bid farewell to Peter Anthony Crowther, a seasoned and dear electrician based in Durban who passed away. Messages on Facebook poured in as tributes were made to a very special and caring gentleman, clearly loved by many. A celebration of his life was held on Friday, 16 February at the Slip Inn, which was Pete’s local for the past seventeen years.

Peter was planning to relocate to the UK to be near to his mother. He had been ill and hospitalized recently, and passed away at his home unexpectedly. “The news came as a shock to the entertainment industry, losing a friend, a colleague and good drinking buddy,” said Nicholas Barnes from DWR Distribution. “Peter was always there to help when help was needed and shall be missed by friends, colleagues and family. So, here’s to Pete, may you rest peacefully bud!”

Everyone would agree that no job was too big or too small for Peter and that he would do anything to help anyone. DWR Distribution’s SOS Charity fund joined hands with the industry to contribute to Peter’s funeral cost. He will be greatly missed. Our sincere condolences to Pete’s family.
