DWR’s Marlene Riley and Chris Pugh
DWR Distribution is proud to announce that two of our team members, Marlene Riley and Chris Pugh, will be riding the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge in support of Beagle Rescue South Africa on Sunday, 18thNovember 2018.
Hosted for the 22ndYear, the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge gives cyclist the opportunity to take over Joburg, but this year the course will be in reverse! The main difference for riders is that the cluster of steep hills that made the last 10km of the route such a grind in previous years will be tackled and out the way in the first 10km while legs are still fresh.
Both animal lovers, Marlene and Chris are joining a team of twenty riders, who are raising funds and hope to create awareness and support for Beagle Rescue South Africa. The riding bug initially bit Marlene over a year ago, and she has trained hard on-road, off-road and in the gym to prepare for this challenge. Meanwhile Chris Pugh, somewhat of an iron man, will be entering his 11thrace, and this year he has decided to partake in double ride which means 947 x 2!
