Retro flava for Robe

08 December 2009

R60, an empty Stimorol 3 – piece chewing gum wrapper and a love for retro music, was the only ticket required for a star studded event held at Carfax, Newtown, Johannesburg. Two dance floors grooving to a hip hop beat had staging, lighting, sound and av run by Integrity Promotions’ Dean Fourie who also made use of his Robe fixtures for this event.   Held on Saturday, 28 November, the Stimorol Flava’s that Last Road Show party, managed and produced by thewinwingroup, included a line up consisting of HHP, DJ Kenzhero, Zubz, Romz Deluxe, Mr Selwyn and Euphonic and Friends.     Tying up with Stimorol’s brand colouring, Dean Fourie used pinks, blues and whites with extensive movement during the artists’ performance. The Hip Hop Dance floor had two Robe ColorSpot 170ATs and two parcans hung on a back truss. The front truss comprised of two Robe Colorspot 170ATs, four Robe LED Washes 136LTs, four Par 56s with frost gels and six LED Parcans which were positioned for the dance floor.

The House Floor which included a dressed stage and a silver half circle DJ booth, saw a 2m x 3m goal post truss adorned with six LED flat panels (two on either leg of the goal post and two on the cross bar). Two Robe ColorSpot 250ATs were placed on the goal post corners and a further two of the same units on top of the PA on either side of the stage. A mini lazer was rigged in the centre of the goal post truss and a Jem Hazer assisted with beam work.

“We, at Cadbury South Africa, were delighted with the Stimorol Flava’s that Last Stimorol Party. The line-up combined with truly professional staging made for an electric atmosphere where Stimorol users could truly live up to the brand promise and ‘Chew Life’”. Alistair Mokoena, Director of Gum and Candy at Cadbury South Africa.

For the Durban crowd, Stimorol will host their last party of the year at the Zulu Jazz Lounge on 19th December where Integrity Promotions will once again add to the vibe with professional sound and lighting. See you there!
