I have been doing outdoor events since I was 20, learning as I go. from there to small live shows, installations, repairs and some major events such as Wines2Wales. I am great with setup, figuring out placement and the minimum requirements for each gig while staying within the clients budget and needs.

I have been involved with the lighting industry since i was 14. I was taught most of the times by Michael Broderick, watching him design lights for our church productions. I even had the chance to run cues that he created.
I had the experience to design Lights for Ntokozo Mbambo and her husband, when they came to the Jesus Dome. I design lights for concerts, conferences, live recordings and TV recordings and productions. I have designed lights for two plays for a well-known actor/producer, Rajesh Gopie. I designed Out of Bounds and By Hook Or By Crook, where both happened at the Izulu theatre at Sibaya in Durban.

I have experience working in theatres, live outdoor events, festivals and film and tv productions as a lighting design, lighting technician, stage manager, technical stage manager, production manager and stage hand, rigger, backline, sound technician and as a runner.
I am a B Tech graduate of Tshwane University of Technology, Performing Arts Technology, where I specialized in Lighting design; for film production with a background of Theatrical lighting design.

I am currently a freelancer working at various theatres and production companies as a techncian, lighting designer, stage manager, art director,etc.
I am a trained and experienced theatre technician, I went to university at UKZN Pietermaritzburg where I was trained and educated as a theatre technician and stage manager under Marcus Henning and Peter Mitchell. While at UKZN I worked as a part time technician for the Hexagon Theatre.
After leaving UKZN I went to work at the Hilton College Theatre as the resident (and only) theatre technician and AV Support technician for the school. I worked on most of the productions by myself, maintaining the theatre, rigging for shows and running lights, sound and even AV all solo for productions, conferences and concerts.
I worked as a technician and unofficial venue manager at Glennie Hall for the 2018 National Arts Festival in Makhanda.
Recently I have helped open the new Barnyard Theatre at Suncoast Casino, operating the follow spot training an in-house staff member to replace me as such.
