Joyce Meyer and Delirious? visit South Africa

12 October 2007

With 15 000 attendees per day, preacher and best selling author, Joyce Meyer along with British rock group Delirious? created a stir in South Africa on the 12th and 13th October at a conference held at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg.

“The atmosphere was electric,” commented JC Du Plessis, Sound Stylist’s LD. The combination of God’s teaching by Joyce, and powerful worship by Delirious? really won the audience over.  Lighting for the band ranged from a rock concert feel, all programmed on the Avolite Pearl Expert, to praise on worship where a static “mood ambience” was created.

While Sound Stylists catered for all technical aspects for both the conference and musicians, the lighting rig consist of box trusses with wash lights and 2k fresnels on the front down stage lights. Wash lights and profiles were used down each side and 12 Profiles were set on the upstage back leg. 6 x 250 Profiles and 6 x 250 Washes were used on the floor to light lycra elements.

The total amount of Robe units comprised of 24 x 575 Profiles, 18 x 575 Washes, 6 x 700 Washes and 12 x 700 Profiles.
