Happy Easter
When we were little, there was no Woolies producing hot cross buns any time of the year….although we are very grateful that they do so now! Good Friday was usually a special supper around the table with fish on the menu if not mistaken. Hot cross buns were a treat and if we still had them after a couple of days, they would be toasted and smeared with butter. I’m sure everything tasted different then.
On Sundays before going to church, we would go into the garden for a wonderful Easter egg hunt and usually mom would have bought little presents too. Such exciting times. Another favourite memory was waking up early to meet with friends at the top of a hill to watch the sunrise. This Easter may you have good times with your family, times to remember.
