HELLO – Community Arts Programme announces its call for submissions. Therefore, if you are a community-based artist or arts organisation in Mamelodi, Eersterust and surrounding areas in Region 6, City of Tshwane, specialising in community theatre or performing arts, and interested in being part of this year’sprogramme, please email: [email protected] to apply.
The Tshwane University of Technology’s Department of EntertainmentTechnology, in partnership with different role players within the arts fraternity,launched “HELLO”, a Community Arts Programme and Festival, in 2014. Theproject’s aim is to expand the boundaries of arts by interacting with local and emerging community artists and organisations.
The HELLO Community Arts Programme will again conduct various training and interactive sessions with the community arts organisations and artists. The festival will be held in Mamelodi and showcase a variety of interactive art installations and performances from the participating community arts groups and artists, endorsing the project’s motto, “For and by the community.”
The deadline for submissions is 13 July 2018
