MDRJ now shipping

Since the release of the MDR Splitters from LSC some months ago, the take up and acceptance by customers has been incredible. So much so, that the requests for modifications and variations to what they already deliver, has convinced them that installers and users alike are pushing the MDR into markets beyond what was originally envisaged.

One of the more common requests has come from installers and specifiers of permanent installations where they are looking for a unit that will match the Cat5 cabling most often used in buildings these days.

The result—LSC has delivered the MDRJ DMX/RDM splitter.
Available in a 10-way 19” rack-mount 1RU high chassis, the MDRJ utilises the etherCon connector from Neutrik allowing all input and output connectors to terminate at the unit by Cat5 cable and mating etherCon or RJ45 plugs.

The MDRJ also can take the optional RDM module permitting the latest industry data transmission protocol to seamlessly travel bi-directionally through the splitter. The MDRJ with RDM is now one of the best priced and highest specified unit on the market today.

Information regarding sending DMX512 signals over Cat5 cable can be found here.
