Robin 600 LEDs for Soteria

13 May 2011

When Soteria, a church based in Pretoria, South Africa, expanded their auditorium, they initially considered purchasing LED parcans for lighting. With the advice of Chris Serfontein from Anointed M,  they opted instead for four Robin 600 LEDWash fixtures. The church took delivery on the 5th April 2011, and there has been no turning back.

“We believe in doing a proper demo with any equipment we propose to a client,” said Chris Serfontein. He primarily submitted a quote, item for item of what the church thought they wanted.  “I have found that if you demonstrate to a client the pros and cons of their first two or three ideas and then show them the pros of what you propose, they can experience the equipment first hand and not rely on promises that may or may not work. The key is to stick to quality and the type of equipment you would invest in for yourself. “

The four Robin LEDWash 600s have been rigged from roof trusses in the auditorium and Chris is pleased with their performance. “They are as versatile as the units in my dreams,” he laughs. “Humour aside, I do not know what they  will do to improve on this.  Light on power consumption,  high on output, an almost everlasting lamp life, lightweight, fast, zoom! Colour correction and they can be addressed and personalized without any power to the unit.“   For the time being, the team at Soteria are handling the fixtures with care and a little caution, but it will only be a matter of time and they’ll have the confidence and familiarity to create fantastic new looks and an ambience to compliment meetings and special events.

We asked Chris if he’d like to add anything else to this article. He smiled and replied, “Yes, an order for my own units, but do not worry, it is only a matter of time….”
