Prolyte for East Coast Production

14 January 2011

At the end of 2010 East Coast Productions took ownership of  their first Prolyte Ground Support structure. Within three weeks of its arrival, the ground support had been used on four different events. Neil Nadauld, “Boss Man” at East Coast Productions, says the structure is one of the best investments his Kwa-Zulu Natal based rental company has made.     East Coast Productions have a strong, experienced  team with a great attitude who are constantly aware of new technology. In fact, they have ordered six Robin 600 Beams which should arrive in February.   “We chose the Prolyte structure for the size, the large hanging space and we liked the height on the front bar, “ commented Jacques Marais head of operations at East Coast. “It’s a bit different from the MPT…. and we like to be a bit different.”   Neil Nadauld and Jacques Marais with the first set up.   East Coast Productions wanted a professional and high quality product when deciding on Prolyte. “It is very well engineered and easy to assemble,” said Jacques. It took 8 hours to build the structure for their first event and the time was reduced to five and a half hours by the second gig. “Now it’s only three and a half hours and we are set to go.”       At the ABSA park gig “Durban Summer Break 2010”, East Coast Productions also provided the full technical. This comprised of:   18 over x 12  Betacoustics line array   8 x JBL VRX932 over 4x JBL Vertec 4880   8 x Robe Robin300   4 x Robe 250AT   2 x Vari-lite VLX   LSC Clarity   4 x Martin MAC575   4 x Martin entours   1 x Beglec LED wall ( 6m x 4.8m)   Panasonic projectors   Pioneer front end                                                                                                                         The headliners were DJs Matt James and Miss Clur from Ministry of Sound UK and 40 of Durban’s hottest DJs from Hip-Hop, RNB, Deep, Funk, Tech and Progressive House Genres.   The event was successful and went very smoothly with a very happy client as the end result.     “Prolyte definitely puts us in a different league all together,” added Jacques. “It expands our horizons as far as staging and full productions is concerned. We are looking forward to doing good business with the structure this year and are also looking forward to expanding our Prolyte inventory. With the excellent  service we get from DWR Distribution we can only move forward to deliver our clients a world class production.”
