More DJs, more Party, more East Coast Productions

17 May 2011

Described as one of the best parties to hit Durban, some 3 000 people attended the Miller Experience 2011 held recently at the Durban Exhibition Centre. The festivities only ended at 5am the following day and featured DJs Fresh and Euphonik, Roger Goode, Gareth Cliff, Sasha Martenigo, Grant Nash and Sam Boylan.

East Coast Productions were the organisers and technical supplier for this event, with lighting design by Jacques Marais. Given free reign, East Coast Productions came up with the concept and design.

“The Robe beam lights on the circle truss were amazing,” said Jacque Marais. “The truss was on an electric hoist and moved over the crowd. Miller were very impressed and extremely pleased with the exposure they received from this event.”

All fixtures and trussing was suspended from the roof trusses in the Exhibition Centre using Loadguard and CM Loadstar electric hoists. Rigged on the Prolyte roof structure were the Robin 300s, Robe 1200 ATs, LED Megabeams and Stagecolor 48s. The Robe 600s were rigged on the Prolyte Circle Truss and on two H-shape structures were  Robe 250ATs, Vari-Lite VLXs, Martin 575 Kryptons and Martin 250 Entours. On two cross shaped structures were the Robe Clubscans and various LED Lights.
