Strike Productions are on the hunt for previously adored fabulous dresses, accessories etc to ensure that disadvantaged Matric girls get to go to their matric dances with self-esteem and dignity. Last year they dressed over 250 girls for their big night out.
“I think this is a wonderful opportunity for us women to pull together and give these girls the opportunity to look and feel as beautiful as we did,” said Leah McCrae from Strike. “We would be grateful if you would ask all your friends, colleagues and family to see if they have old dresses, costume jewellery, shoes, handbags, hair accessories, makeup or anything else you can think of that made you feel special on your night! “ It’s time to part with that pink bridesmaid dress that “can always be worn again!”
Strike Productions have a driver who is able to collect the items from your home or office. Alternatively, DWR Distribution is available as a drop-off point – the deadline is the 15th August 2011.
“There is nothing better than seeing a girl arrive in her school uniform, and leave feeling like a princess,” said Leah. “I hope we can raise the number this year and support these beautiful girls”.
