Good response for Titan Training

25 October 2013

An Avolites Titan Training Course was hosted at DWR Distribution’s new premises in Laserpark, Johannesburg, from 21 to 23 October 2013. Due to a wonderful interest from rental companies in and around the Durban area, the same workshop will be held in KwaZulu Natal from 28 to 30 October.

DWR Distribution’s Nick Britz, presenter of the Avolites Titan Training, was delighted with the response. In Johannesburg, 24 delegates attended.

Topics covered included workspaces, patching, groups, controlling fixtures, palettes, playbacks, basic timings, chases, shapes and running the show.

Thanks to Avolite’s Emma Thompson presenting a similar seminar in South Africa in 2012, the foundation was laid. As Britz and his assistant Gareth Chambers regularly train Avolites users on a one-on-one basis and daily provide technical support, the workshop was informative and practical.

DWR moved premises at the end of July. A new dedicated training facility is a welcome improvement. The training room is a good size, is professionally laid out and has various power points. When delegates are asked to bring their own consoles and laptops to a workshop, as was requested for the Avolites Titan Training, the environment is user friendly to both delegates and those running the course.

On behalf of DWR, thank you to everyone who participated. Thank you also to the DWR team who helped to make the days successful, including Nick Britz, Gareth Chambers, JC Du Plessis, Amanda Botha, Phumi Mncube and in Durban, Nick Barnes.

DWR looks forward to hosting various workshops covering our product range on an on-going basis.
