DWR Distribution is pleased to offer the industry a new staircase solution for Prolyte Stage Decks. There is a 3 Step Module and a 5 Step Module, both manufactured locally by DWR but inspired by Prolyte.
The stairs have been constructed from weatherproof aluminum, are lightweight and compact to store or transport. The design is aesthetically pleasing and stair treads are constructed from aluminum tread plate for a non-slip surface. The 5 Step Module has a handrail on either side.
“Until now, existing staircases were available in increments of 200mm, ranging from 200mm to 1m,” explains Keith Pugin, head of Manufacturing at DWR. “Because of that you had to have your stage level at the same increments as that. Former stairs were also cumbersome, taking more warehouse and transport space. As there were many parts, assembling stairs was time consuming and added to that, the old stairs were not weatherproof.”
The stairs can be coupled together using the existing Prolyte CCS6 coupling system.
Pugin and his assistant, Sidney Koen, got their inspiration from Prolyte Adjustable stairs, and have come up with new fully adjustable staircase suitable for stages ranging from 200mm up to 2m.The 3 Step Module has a range of 200mm to 500mm in height, while the 5 Step Module ranges from 600mm to 1m.
“The stairs can be coupled together in any combination using the existing Prolyte CCS6 coupling system, up to a maximum height of 2m” said Pugin.
